A holistic look at safety
Revisiting safety requirements, with a specific focus on risk elimination and severity containment at the design stage, will make electricity in industries safer. Safety of the system from the perspectives of installation, machinery and equipment, as well as from the vital human perspective, must be considered. A proactive rather than a reactive approach to ensuring safety should be taken; mitigate the risks at the engineering and design stage rather than after the accident has taken place.
- Risk should not be managed reactively.
- Electrical safety can be ensured throughout your plant, right down to each individual piece of equipment.
- Proper consideration in the design phase can eliminate many risks.
